Day 5: Avignon wine tour & Cooking Class

The morning started with private tour of the famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape vineyards with Francois and David where several vineyards were visited and a lesson given on the 7 steps of wine tasting.  The guides gave flavour of the region and history of Provence.  After some lunch and shopping in Avignon the group attended a cooking class with the wonderful chef Larrue at the Jardin De La Tour restaurant. Everyone did a marvelous job of cutting up mushrooms before preparing a Tomato based starter and then a delicious dish of  courgette flowers stuffed with fish mousse, followed by a Crème brûlée desert.
