Day 6: Arles, the Papal Palace, Mass and the sound & light show

Today we started by taking the local train to the city of Arles.  Unlike Avignon it still retains a heavy Roman influence but is also know as a home of Van Gogh during one of his most profile periods.  The morning was spent shopping and sightseeing as well as visiting a local market to try some delicious Provencal produce. The afternoon was filled with a visit to the Papal Palace and later high mass was attended at the church of St Didier.  A delicious dinner was followed by a truly spectacular sound and light show at the Papal Palace.
